Rosemount is the home of KenDu Music.
Rosemount gardens are situated in Julianstown, Co Meath and are part of the Boyne Valley Garden Trail, https://boynevalleygardentrail.com/
KenDu Music is based within Rosemount's sumptuous 10 acre garden throughout which the river Nanny flows.
The garden 'Rosemount' is a member of the Boyne Valley Garden Trail and appointments are available by appointment.
Garden tours can be arranged.
Originally a commercial orchard, this enchanting garden features many exotic trees and plants as well as a good range of native trees of Ireland. Herons, kingfishers, otters and many others have made the ten-acre parkland on the banks of the river Nanny their home.
Garden tours can be organised for groups by arrangement. Refreshments are also available on request.
KenDu Music is very much a part of community spirit and offers music lessons in violin and theory.
In addition, KenDu manages a choir called the Rosemount Singers who specialise under the guidance of
Choral Director Mr Shane Barriscale, in four part harmony, early, classical and contemporary music.
This small choral group began in 2017 and under the careful instruction of its Musical Director, Shane Barriscale have gone on to perform publicly with a broad repertoire from Plainchant, Renaissance, Baroque and Classical to Jazz! Shane, who is also the Assistant Director and Education Officer with the Palestrina Choir in Dublin is himself a member of the Chamber Choir of Ireland and the very successful Barbershop quartet 4-In-A-Bar. He guides the choir once a week over a ten-week course culminating in a public performance.
The course takes place at KenDu music in Rosemount, Julianstown and new singers are always welcome.
This is a very relaxed approach to four-part harmony singing and the ability to sight-read is not a pre-requisite.
